Biography
Writer, director, cinematographer: Software (Silver Lion at Venice Film Festival); Ollero Yucateco and Appeals to Santiago (CINE Golden Eagles). Has worked extensively for Public Broadcast Laboratory, New York City; ORTF (French Television), Paris; Israel Television (Jerusalem); Division of Community Education (San Juan). Independent still-photographer with one-person shows in Paris, New York, Tokyo, Tel Aviv, and Boston. Photographed Guess Who's Not Coming to Dinner? (a documentary on world hunger) for French television. Elected Chevalier in the Order of the Palmes Academiques by the prime minister of France. He was also the 1998 recipient of the NYU Distinguished Teaching Medal. Chair, International Faculty Advisory Committee.
